A part of TAKE ON WRITING series
Conceptualised by Bhavna Kakar

Date: 17th – 19th December, New Delhi
Venue: Sanskriti Kendra
Anandagram, Mehrauli Gurgaon Road, New Delhi – 110047

17th December at Latitude 28
6.30 – 8.30 pm: Preview of ‘Weaving Shards’, Recent Works by Niyeti Chadha Kannal
7.00 pm: Performance by Himali Singh Soin with David Tappeser as part of the panel ‘Artists’ and Books’
Countering an algorithmic aural visualisation of the 1,265 semi-colons in Virginia Woolf’s ‘The Waves’, the performance uses the digressions of marginalia and the spontaneous structures of improvisation to examine the book as a machine of immortality, as a purveyor of radical politics.

Over the course of two days, an international community of artists, writers and curators will gather in Delhi to exchange ideas and discuss the endurance and material legacy of ‘The Book’, including the ways in which it continues to influence contemporary processes of knowledge, community and history.
